Longshan Temple — Most important temple. Beautiful and active. Free.
Shilin Night Market — Taipei's largest. Stinky tofu, oyster omelettes, bubble tea.
Keelung Miaokou — Night market right at port. Bubble tea, tempura.

Xiao long bao: Din Tai Fung's original branch is in Taipei.
Beef noodle soup: Taiwan's national dish.

40 min by train. Easy, cheap. Keelung's own market is excellent too.
