Our Story
Lucy began in 2024 as a simple idea: travel should feel exciting, not stressful. What started as a small project to translate menus and signs has grown into a full travel companion trusted by explorers around the world. Built by travelers and technologists who know the frustrations of being lost in translation, Lucy is here to help you focus on the joy of discovery.
Ask Lucy is created and run by Digital Philosophy, a Singapore-based company founded by an Australian–Japanese married couple (and soon-to-be parents) with their loyal rough collie by their side. For us, Lucy is personal—we built her to help people like us travel with more confidence, connection, and joy.
